The Umbrella Screw is intended for use in intraoral bone augmentation and offers an alternative to the shell technique and the use of titanium-reinforced PTFE membranes. It is used for the fixation and stabilization of bone grafts and bone substitutes, as well as for the mechanical support of barrier membranes. The screw is made of Ti-6Al-4V ELI alloy and has a self-tapping thread. The screw head includes an interface for holding the insertion tool and for optimal force transmission (hexalobular socket).
